भावार्थ:
देवों ने यज्ञ के द्वारा यज्ञस्वरूप प्रजापति का पूजन किया। यज्ञ और उससे संबंधित उपासना ही प्राचीन धर्मविधियाँ थीं। जहाँ पूर्वकाल में देवता निवास करते थे (स्वर्गलोक), उस स्थान को यज्ञाचरण द्वारा प्राप्त कर साधक महानता और गौरव को प्राप्त करता है।
द्वितीय मंत्र
ॐ राजाधिराजाय प्रसह्य साहिने।
नमो वयं वैश्रवणाय कुर्महे।

ॐ स्वस्ति साम्राज्यं भौज्यं स्वाराज्यं

हमारा राज्य कल्याणकारी हो, उपभोग्य साधनों से परिपूर्ण हो। वह राज्य स्वराज्य, वैराज्य और परम श्रेष्ठ महाराज्य हो। हमारा शासन सर्वत्र फैला हुआ, सार्वभौम और दीर्घायु हो। समुद्रों से घिरी सम्पूर्ण पृथ्वी पर हमारा अखंड और सुरक्षित राज्य सृष्टि के अंत तक बना रहे।
